The evaluation of the vehicles’ speeding up laws during acceleration
Annotation: The study analyzed the acceleration modes of “category N3” vehicles on sections of the urban driving cycle in order to find the best options for changing acceleration. The ultimate goal was to optimize the motion variables to find the minimum cycle fuel consumption. The sizing-up process allows to calculate the associated parameters’ values - actual engine operating conditions, engine power filling factor, the number of the actual gear, acceleration distance, passing time, etc. The results are recommended for usage in the control systems design of semi-automatic and automatic transmissions.
