Analysis and optimization of traffic flows at the intersection in anylogic (on the example of Donetsk)
Annotation: The article discusses the application of the AnyLogic software product for simulation in the field of traffic flow optimization on the street and road network of the city of Donetsk. The role and areas of simulation modeling at different levels of abstraction have been considered. The problematic intersections of Shevchenko Boulevard and Shakhtostroiteley Boulevard in Donetsk city was analyzed. A number of shortcomings at the intersection under consideration has been identified. The results of location surveys of the intensity and structure of traffic flows passing through the intersection, and the modes of existing traffic light regulation are presented. The specific measures for the reconstruction of the transport hub under consideration have been proposed. The reduction of tact data for traffic light control was recommended. The results of simulation modeling in AnyLogic for various proposed optimization alterations were presented. A comparative analysis of the results obtained was carried out.
