Planning research into the causes of accelerated wear of the slewing ring of tower cranes

Annotation: The paper analyzes the causes of the appearance of types of mechanical wear of treadmills and rolling elements of a three-row roller bearing, which is the main element of the slewing ring of tower cranes. It has been established that the main causes of damage are: abrasive wear resulting from the violation of lubrication modes and the accumulation of wear products in the lubricant; pox-like wear due to the arising dynamic loads when the threaded connections are loosened and unevenness in the operation of the multi-motor electromechanical drive of the swing mechanism. The directions of further research are determined: analysis of the uniformity of loading of drive electric motors by current characteristics, analysis of vibration parameters of the support ring, stress distribution over rolling elements and treadmills, daily temperature fluctuations and their effect on the characteristics of the lubricant, movement of the lubricant in the cavities of the support ring.
