Annotation: This article presents the existing approaches to the disinfection of the formed organic sludge from urban wastewater. The reagent and thermal methods for reducing the contamination of excess activated sludge from pathogens by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) are considered. It was found that at a minimum H2O2 dose of 0.06 g / g of activated sludge dry matter, chemical flotation occurs, the moisture content of the obtained compacted sludge was 94-96%. With the selected dose of the reagent the contamination of pathogens decreased by 5%. During heat treatment the group of Escherichia coli in the sediment decreased by 99.8%.

Keywords: disinfection, organic precipitation of urban wastewater.
