Annotation: The article considers the prerequisites for the creation of a scientific school at the department of heat engineering, heat and gas supply and ventilation, headed by Doctor of technical sciences, professor V. F. Gubar. The main scientific directions are presented, within the framework of which scientific research is carried out at the department and new scientific personnel of the highest qualification are being prepared. Showing the real results of research conducted by scientists of V.F. Gubar’s scientific school, the topics of defended dissertations are given, the areas of implementation of scientific results are marked.
