Annotation: The scientific achievements and researches in the water supply and sewerage’s field, which influenced the life and development of our region are considered. The Donbass national academy of civil engineering and architecture role and role of the department of water supply, sanitation and water resources’ protection in these scientific developments are presented. Besides the merits of our scientists over the past 50 years are noted, and achievements for the further development of science in academy are determined.
