Annotation: Our research had been established that the screening of crushing oval open-hearth slag is characterized by a slower rate of hydration. In this case, a gel structure of the newly formed material is formed, as evidenced by the unchanged x-ray diffraction patterns of the hardening slag stone at the age of one day and at the age of two years. The presence on the surfaces of slag particles of gel-like new formations that differ both in chemical elements and in their quantitative ratio. The emergence of syneresis cracks characteristic of a gel network, their healing and the formation of new ones, often crossing existing cracks. It shows, that an effective way to activate the hydraulic activity of screening crushing of waste open-hearth slag is to introduce alkaline additives into the water-slag mixture. As example, quicklime ground lime and cement kiln fly dust, which intensify the surface dissolution of slag particles and the synthesis of gel new formations, mainly Al - Si - Ca composition, which form the condensation structure of the slag stone.

Keywords: screening of crushing of open-hearth slag, hydraulic properties of open-hearth slag, methods of intensification of hydraulic activity of crushing of open-hearth slag.
