Annotation: The development strategy of the construction industry and housing and communal services of the Russian Federation defines the transition to information modeling technologies (hereinafter referred to as TIM) as a priority task. The article discusses the mechanism of digital transformation of the investment and construction project management system (hereinafter referred to as ICP) using digital technologies. The work analyzes domestic and foreign theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of using information modeling technologies in the implementation of ISP. The need for the formation of a comprehensive assessment of the economic feasibility of introducing TIM into the project management process is substantiated. The analysis of the world experience of countries that successfully use digital technologies in construction revealed the main reasons for the low rate of digitalization in the implementation of investment and construction projects in our country. The proposed algorithm of actions to accelerate the implementation of TIM in ICP management makes it possible to reduce the project implementation time, optimize the costs of facility management, create a unified base for storing and exchanging information, and reduce the costs of implementing ICP as a whole. The research is based on systemic, process and situational approaches, methods of comparative and factor analysis of the results of foreign and domestic experience, and the method of graphical modeling.
