Initial reliability of building structures and ways to solve the problem of its reliability in buildings and structures

Annotation: Assessing the reliability of building structures is a complex seriousk task that must be solved taking into account costs aimed at ensuring the required quality indicators in the process of design, construction and operation of buildings and structures. The phenomenon after which one of the unacceptable limit states occurs in building structures is called failure. The antipode of reliability is unreliability, which is assessed by the probability of failures occurring during a given period of operation of the structure or its individual parts. Violation of the initial reliability is accompanied by sudden failures or accidents. The article provides ways to obtain equally reliable structures when designing them. The necessary theoretical prerequisites and practical recommendations are given, on the basis of which important steps can be taken towards a radical improvement in the quality of construction. When designing buildings and structures, scientifically based indicators of the theoretical reliability of elements and structures must be established, and their actual reliability must be ensured by a set of technological and organizational measures at manufacturing plants, installation and general construction sites. To succesfully solve the problem of reliability, the need for comprehensive implementation of the necessary measures at all stages of construction and operation of building structures is emphasized. The main criteria for full reliability can be obtained based on an analysis of the accuracy of production processes of all enterprises in construction industry.
