The public buildings’ architecture of the period of soviet modernism as a current topic in the study of regional heritage (60-80s of the 0th century)
Annotation: The article explores public buildings’ architecture of the period of Soviet modernism (60-80s of the 20th century) on the territory of Donbass. The characteristic features, design and construction principles, and significance of these buildings for understanding the historical and cultural context of the region are researched. The article analyzes current problems of preservation and restoration of the architectural heritage of Soviet modernism, as well as its potential for rethinking and adaptation to modern conditions. Particular attention is given to the significance of the legacy of Soviet modernism for the design of modern public buildings in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The research Is based on the methods of historical analysis, field surveys and comparative analysis. The results allow us to identify the principles and techniques of Soviet modernist architecture that can be used to create a modern and functional architectural environment in the region. The article will be in Interest of architects, historians, cultural experts, as well as anyone interested in the history and architecture of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
