Design and construction for the needs of low-mobility population groups as one of significant directions in theory and practice of modern architecture and urban development: experience of Donbas scientific school
Annotation: The article is devoted to the history of the formation and development of the Donbas scientific school in the field of design and construction for the needs of people with limited mobility. The available experience of scientists of the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture on the implementation of some of the ideas and principles of this scientific direction in the process of preparing architectural, city-planning, engineering, land management and other specialized details is considered. Attention is focused on the fundamental methodological differences of the Donbas School in comparison with many other scientific schools and directions in this field. Some theoretical and experimental designs and development of the academy scientists, which have received full or partial implementation in the educational process, as well as in the actual practice of design and construction, are given. On the basis of the materials reviewed, a conclusion is made about the possibility and validity of the statement that a completely independent scientific school specializing in research in the field of design and construction for the needs of people with limited mobility has been formed by a certain team of academy scientists, including their numerous followers.
Keywords: low-mobility groups of the population, universal and specific needs, design and construction for the needs of the disabled, narrowly sectoral and interdisciplinary research, the possibility of using the methodology of a systematic approach, commonality and fundamental differences, features of the preparation of architectural and urban planning specialties, the Donbass scientific school, the history of formation and development prospects.
