Revisiting the ensuring of reliability of frameless arched buildings

Annotation: The advantages of frameless arched buildings from thin-rolled products compared to traditional frame buildings and structures made from pivotal light metal structures have been noted. The typical examples of collapses have been given. The causes of accidents of buildings and structures of this type at various stages of the life cycle have been analyzed. It is shown that increasing of the reliability of facilities is possible only under proper control at all stages: designing, manufacturing, installation and operation. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents valid in the Russian Federation, it is concluded that the issue of control for the structures under consideration, taking into account their peculiarities, is still unsolved.
