Annotation: Research teams of the Department of Metal Structures, the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and the Department of Technology and Management of Construction of the Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture under the guidance of Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor Ye.V. Gorokhov for 50 years has actively been envolved in the problem of assessing the technical condition and technical diagnostics of operating metal structures of industrial buildings and structures. The conducted theoretic and experimental studies resulted in the development of methodological basis for improving the reliability of the operated metal structures of buildings and structures based on the use of methods of system analysis of the behavior of structures in operation, inspection, assessment of technical condition, technical diagnosis, monitoring and forecasting of the bearing capacity.
