Annotation: Every year, the question of shifting the rock mass during the development of converged layers becomes more and more relevant. This is connected with the continuous deepening of workings into the bowels of the earth, which entails the displacement of the mountain range located above the coal seams. As a result, there is more pressure on the workings. In this regard, there is a need to quickly adjust the options for mining layers. The article offers approaches to substantiating strategies for the development of mining operations at coal mining enterprises using computer modeling. Using a 3D model, parameters were determined that determine the order and sequence of working out of the converged layers. Based on the model of the mine, a section was constructed by means of which the distance between the layers was calculated using data from geological exploration wells.
