Annotation: The paper describes the analysis of failures and the reliability of pipeline transport and its internal causes - the composition of the transported medium, and external causes - mechanical impacts of undermining of the territories above the mine workings and watering areas as a result of flooding of mines and weather anomalies. The results of studies of soil hardening using various compositions based on liquid glass are presented. In different conditions of external influences, when changing the reasons for watering the territory, the expediency of using different compositions is justified. The data presented shows the impact of the geometric parameters of external influences - the dimensions of the acting elements and the exposed objects on the levels of displacements and forces acting on the objects in the soil. The influence of the pipeline operation duration while the transporting agents with different corrosive activity on the likelihood of damage and the reliability of the pipeline transport is analyzed. The analysis of the effectiveness of the use of pipeline transport in the transportation of heat through pipelines of various diameters is carried out.

Keywords: pipeline communications, thixotropic effect, corrosion activity, duration of operation.
