Annotation: This article examines the issues of urban planning assessment of the existing transport infrastructure of the city of Donetsk, including the assessment of the architectural and planning structure of the bus station «Center». The main priority directions in the design and reconstruction of various stations are considered. The structure of transport communication in Donetsk is presented. The analysis of the territory of the bus station «Center» with the allocation of the main functional zones is given. The main problems of this transport hub are highlighted with their detailed disassembly. One of the priority options for organizing the architectural and planning structure for the bus station «Center» has been identified. It is proposed to apply an unconventional approach to the construction of a «reversible bus compartment» in place of existing platforms to create safe movement of public transport and pedestrians on the territory of the bus station. A new scheme for the movement of public transport with the arrival and departure of passengers on the territory of the bus station was recommended. Recommendations were made for the development of transport hubs and adjacent territories.
