Selection of a rational scheme for sewage treatment plants’ modernization in small set- tlements

Annotation: Most of sewage treatment facilities in Donbass’ region small settlements built 30-50 years ago and have significant physical wear and outdated using technology. Ensuring wastewater treatment up to modern requirements at such treatment facilities is impossible. It is necessary to reconstruct treatment plants using new technologies for improving the ecological state of environment and natural water sources. In this article, a rational scheme for the reconstruction of sewage treatment plants in small settlements selected, using the example of a treatment plant in the village. Nizhnyaya Krynka. We based on studying other researchers’ experience of introducing technologies and our own developments. The developed scheme allows making reconstruction with minimal capital costs and obtaining a high quality of wastewater treatment, using existing facilities.
