Hybrid’s car place in the modern world

Annotation: This article researches the prerequisites and practical necessity of creating a car vehicle (CV) with a hybrid power plant, the regulatory framework that fixes the relevant concepts of a hybrid car and a hybrid power plant, modern environmental standards and requirements for manufactured vehicles, prospects and directions for their development, classification of hybrid electric vehicles, as well as their main structural elements. Distribution of hybrid and electric cars in European Union and Russia markets analyzed here. The advantages and disadvantages of various layout schemes of the hybrid car’s power plant, promising types of traction batteries, electric machines, as well as their parameters and mechanical characteristics are considered. As the most promising type of mechanical power source for use in car vehicle and other transport, a combination of a reversible electric machine and an internal combustion engine is considered here.
