Annotation: The article presents a new concept for the design of electrical networks. It is used for new unified metal poles’ developing, economical and reliable for modern power industry. For the first time has been created a method for the of overhead lines’ (OL) optimal design, making power transmission as a single structural system. Our research is taking into account the terrain, atmospheric and climatic conditions and the degree of environmental pollution, the requirements of efficiency, manufacturability and operating costs. We are paid attention to the changes, which are made in the restrictions and conditions that the vector of variable parameters satisfies for finding the geometric dimensions minimum mass’ lattice structures. Optimal design, computer controlled assembly and the use of advanced technologies can reduce construction time, reduce operating costs and increase the service life of electrical networks.

Keywords: optimal design, software package, overhead power line, structural scheme, lattice support, target mass function, computer assembly, algorithm.
