Annotation: Ensuring the required parameters of reliability and durability in construction projects is achieved by using a number of technical and organizational methods of engineering practice. Evaluation of the economic feasibility of measures to ensure the reliability of building structures is a multi-criteria task. It includes an analysis of the costs of compliance with regulatory quality requirements at all stages of the life cycle of objects - from design and construction to operation. The reliability of building structures is determined by their ability to maintain operational characteristics without failures and accidents during the established service life. Durability characterizes the ability of structures to maintain operability throughout the entire operational period, taking into account the influence of operational and external influences. The article examines approaches to the design of building structures with identical reliability parameters, analyzes technological aspects of ensuring the required operational characteristics of structural elements at the design stage, as well as methods for maintaining them during operation, sets out theoretical principles and practical recommendations aimed at improving the quality of construction processes while minimizing total costs.
