Annotation: The article considers an example of the use of modern computer technologies (Educational Data Mining) in predicting the educational results of students of engineering higher educational establishments from the point of view of the competency-based approach: designing a multidimensional table (OLAP cubes), creating dynamic models (Real-Time Educational Data Mining), applying intellectual analytics. The competence profile of a civil engineer is built on the basis of the state educational standard. Empirical information was collected on the successes of 102 students studying in the field of education 08.03.01 "Civil Engineering" in the SEI HPE "Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture". The use of multidimensional analytics in the spreadsheet editor MS Excel made it possible to model individual competency profiles of each future civil engineer, as well as a graphical representation form (in the form of sparklines). Using a dynamic approach allowed us to determine the optimal time for creating a forecast for each individual competency.

Keywords: Educational Data Mining, educational outcomes, future civil engineers, OLAP cubes, pedagogical forecasting.
